Cabling Services Specifications

1. Cabling Services (Labor Only)

   Provide labor only to perform the following services:

• Installation of customer-supplied communications cabling and connectivity
• Installation of customer-supplied network closet build-out materials
• Installation of customer-supplied network electronics (rack and stack)
• Termination, testing, labeling, and documentation of existing cabling infrastructure
• Pathway verification/documentation of existing underground OSP conduit pathway
• Survey /production of as-built floor plans of existing network cabling infrastructure

2. Cabling Services (Labor and Materials)

    Provide labor and materials to perform the following:

• Installation of voice, data and optical fiber cabling infrastructure
• Build-out of customer network closets and Data Centers
• Installation of ladder rack and basket tray for network cabling pathways
• Installation and troubleshooting of Valcom overhead paging systems
• Break fix and MAC (moves, adds and changes) for service of existing voice, data and optical fiber network cabling
• Provide documentation of newly installed voice, data and optical fiber cabling including testing, labeling, and as-built documents
• Supply manufacturer's extended performance warranties on new installations utilizing the products listed at bottom of this page

3. Cabling Technical Support

Southwest Networks can assist with cabling-related issues outside of cabling projects  including moves, adds and changes as well as repairs and technical support.

• Provide additional services for items not directly related to the cabling or the labor needed to perform a project (Example: Rental of equipment, troubleshooting of existing network cabling, site surveys, or attendance for required project construction meetings)

4. Cabling Systems Design

Southwest Networks is staffed with RCDDs (Registered Communications Distribution Designers) to assist clients in successfully planning for voice, fiber and data cabling projects.

5. Cable Removal

Southwest Networks can assist with removing unused or abandoned communications cabling and associated network hardware or equipment from buildings as needed.
